Warren Hackmen face crowds over high round trip charges
Citizens from Clarendon to Warren numbered fifty five rode a special train to see the Black Flag and were charged one dollar per couple at the depot. Critics say a 25 or 50 cent fare would have sufficed and vow not to patronize future hacks unless rates are fair. Also noted, the Chopin Society of Warren offers music at Library Hall to aid the homeless along the Ohio Valley with admission 25 cents, seats 35 cents, and the North Star Lodge Masons sell their hall to the Good Templars for 2000 dollars as they prepare to move to a new Library building.

North Warren items mix with banter and local notes
The column from North Warren blends farm talk and gossip. It notes when to cut scions for grafting, bids for asylum meat, and a quip about Mulford Nobbs leaving town. It jokes about local clergy and 2d Adventists, praises the asylum managers with cash-sale criticism, and trails into band leadership, stone quarry, and an optics of local commerce.
