Prohibition County Convention in Warren County
The Warren County Prohibition Home Protection Party met June 4 1884 at Good Templar Hall Irvington. George Wright elected Chairman E T Davies Secretary. Committees formed on resolutions nominations and district organization. Deficit on treasury erased and plans laid for county paper. Delegates reported from Philadelphia state convention and a pledge to oppose liquor interests. Adjourned sine die with reports to local papers and prohibition groups.

Warren Academy to fund county tuition at Warren
At a May triennial meeting the county school directors urged using the academy funds for its designed purpose. Warren Academy Trustees will appropriate to pay tuitions for country students in the Academic department, with a $2 monthly rate for extras beyond twenty free pupils. Taxpayers fear higher borough costs unless the plan is clarified.
