A traveler recounts leaving Warren for Dunkirk and journeying west to Hot Springs Arkansas. The piece extols the health resort, its seven bath houses, 240 baths, and 75 springs, with details on temperatures, hotels, transportation, and local reform after a period of crime and quackery. The narrator praises the landscape, climate, and facilities, while noting improvements and the region’s role as a premier sanitarium.
