The Warren county Common Pleas Court convened with Judge C. H. Noyes presiding and a guardian petition granted for Miss Hattie Friday electing W. D. Brown as guardian with a $5,000 bond. Cameron vs Hysinger & Siggins. the two Harmony society land dispute cases, Durs et al vs Davidsom et al, dominate the week with title and land disputes in Limestone township. At a council meeting Dony argued against applying the fire limit to the north side of Third Street. A resolution to exclude that block failed and Dr. Pierce was refused permission to burn. A check valve for Morrison Run was proposed to speed firefighting. The Exempt Firemen’s Association petition was accepted. Borough indebtedness ran about $31,000 with assessments near $10,000. Pavement cost estimated at $33,542 with one third borough liability. debt increase approved to $11,180.67. Property sale to Oakland Cemetery Association planned two acres at $100 per acre. River bank patent hearing set for Wednesday the 27th. Bills read and paid, council adjourned. Carroll Lodge No. 102 officers installed January 6, 1892. Special notice for Carroll Lodge meeting January 18 with Grand Lodge officers expected. Grand Lodge mass meeting planned for Helena in June. November beneficiary fund disbursements listed. Explosion Destroys Nitro Glycerine Magazine Near Pittsburg
A magazine of nitro glycerine exploded near Pittsburg killing John M. Pair and George Candy and injuring Thomas Irvin. The blast at three o'clock blew the men to atoms. Irvin survived with head and shoulder injuries. A former shooter James Feeney survived a similar blast in 1880, reportedly deafened but unscathed, due to being in the air when the force hit.

One Legged Man Dies After Woods Accident
Eugene Munger aged nineteen, son of C M Munger, was fatally injured while cutting wood near West Spring Creek on Oil Creek road. A falling tree pinned his leg, he bled heavily, and died about four hours later after doctors failed to save him. Funeral at his father's house on January 1, 1892, burial beside his twin sister at French Creek cemetery. He was active in Sunday school and a member of the M E church.

Terrible accident ends life of M F L Hall near Morrison
A logging tramway worker, M F L Hall, about 22, was killed Saturday when his foot slipped on an iron step and caught between rapidly moving cog wheels. He died about 8 pm after fellow workers disassembled the machinery. Captain L T Borchers, his uncle, led the remains to Hancock, New York, for the funeral.
