Jacob E B Hirtzel died January 28 1890 at his parents home in Dawson township Greene County Iowa after four years of illness. Born January 25 1845 in Warren County Pennsylvania he moved to Naperville Tennessee then Town before settling in Dawson township. Funeral January 31 1890 at the Christian church Jefferson Lawn conducted by Pastors Burton and Everly. Marion Harland promotes restoring Mary Washington monument. Home Maker magazine offers seventy five cents of each subscription for six months to support the effort with the note for Washington monument.
