John Broas died of neuralgia of the heart at his home Friday night. Born November 6, 1845 in New York City, he came to the oil country with his parents during the early boom years near Tituville. A longtime oil figure and former Cooper Tract postmaster, he later worked as a clerk to the borough health officer. Survived by sisters and two brothers including P. C. Sterling of Orange New Jersey, Mrs Burkhart of Madna Spain, MitcK Ronne of Warren, Richard Bross of New Jersey, and Goe Broas of Chicago.
