Ireland’s Bantry shadow on the Irish poor and landlord rule

An American writer describes Bantry’s vast landholdings contrasted with a dying tenant family in a humid garret. He rails at Lord Bantry’s London Paris Rome houses and costly yachts while tenants face eviction for tenpence a week. He mocks stage Irish myths and portrays Irish misery, hunger, and emigration toward America.
