Local Teachers Institute at Kinzua Stimulates County Schools

Last Saturday April 18 an engaging teachers institute led by Prof Moorhead at Union school Kinzua opened with music devotional exercises by Rev Albert W Ryan of Warren and papers by Miss Leslie Mayher on Literature Miss Olney on Supplementary Reading and Prof J C Boyle on Writing Newcomer Miss Harvey spoke on Morals and Manners. Prof J M McConnell presented The End of Education and Prof Putnam urged support for school libraries and larger appropriations. Rev A W Ryan stressed the value of schools and teacher dignity. The program closed with visits to veneer works and local musical entertainment. Kingua April 23.
