The article recounts the rise and failure of the Warren Board of Trade in 1892. Hood, Gale & Co planned veneer works at Struthers Flats with a $12,500 fund from local subscribers. Trustees signed contracts for land, building, and employment, but the organization collapsed after fire risk and unpaid land, leaving insurers and members uncertain about asset distribution.
