New York Feb 22 Over 200000 workers affiliated with the Central Federation Union pledge to strike July 1 if beer is deprived. Six unions signed agreements at last night meetings. Labor leaders say 500000 workers nationwide have joined the stand, totaling 500000. The prospective strikers include iron workers engineers ship builders longshoremen and miscellaneous workers. Ernest Rohm predicts broader action nationwide.
