Dr. C F Goltry born 1863 in Cedar township Lucas county Iowa. He taught rural schools, studied at Drake University and Central Christian College Albany Missouri. He served Lucas county schools 1896 to 1902, trained in medicine at Ben elical College 1908, practiced Cherry County Nebraska briefly, then Westboro Missouri 1909, moved to Russell 1922 and cared for the community there thereafter.
A candidate appeals to voters in Benton Cedar English Pleasant and Washington Townships to support an Independent bid for First District Supervisor after a disputed 1932 primary. He cites a three year road program, tax savings, a 200 man county workforce with wage cuts, and his own salary reductions. He references a threatening letter from Republican voters and urges voters to judge his record and vote for the candidate who serves the taxpayer.
