Sidney Callaway Reports Drift on Ore at Sidney Mine
Fred W. Callaway mining engineer of Kellogg visited Sidney last Saturday. He holds a bond and lease on the Sidney and has driven a crosscut to a zinc lead ore vein. The drift extends 250 feet with ore 30 inches to 5 feet wide, averaging about 20 percent zinc and 18 inches of high grade ore in the shoot. The body lies about 700 feet below the surface discovery on the Sidney where lead shipments were made and zinc ore remains in sight. The Sidney Ixon Pine Creek area is rapidly growing in mineral production.
