Silver Reef and Homestake Link For Underground Work

Silver Reef Mining plans underground work in the lower tunnel aided by a National Copper Mining owned control of the Homestake stake. A compressor and electric power setup are ready, with ore showing in the upper tunnel prompting an extension through the Homestake tunnel. Star Mine Purchase Deal Details in Heela Suit Affidavit

EASTON of Bunker Hill Sullivan explains how the Star mine came under option and sale to his company, then joined with Heela Mining on equal terms. Mining Engineer to Take Treasury Post in Washington

Sidney L. Shonts a longtime local mining engineer will move to Washington to join the treasury department as an internal revenue official. He will handle federal tax adjustments for metal mines, a role suited to his training and experience. Mrs. Shonts and the children accompany him, and his partner B. Davis will keep the local office running. The position may last a year or longer depending on fit.
