Lead and Zinc Markets in 1920 a World Market Shift
Lead and Zinc Markets in 1920 show a transition from regional to world pricing. London prices fell after March while New York rose briefly, then both declined by year end. Large imports to the United States offset domestic shortages, with production and demand tied to automotive, storage battery, and cable industries amid postwar price swings.

Anaconda Phosphate Plant Plans 1000 Ton Daily Shipments
The Anaconda Copper Mining Company reports that a 1 mile spur from the Oregon Short Line railroad has been completed for the Soda Springs phosphate deposits in eastern Idaho. Regular ore shipments are not expected to start until spring, with Washee smelter in Montana to handle about 1000 tons daily of phosphate ore treated with sulfuric acid. Crude rock will also be shipped to other smelters, and the property appears extensive enough to sustain shipments for at least ten years.
