Hypotheek Drift Leads Mining Meeting in Boise

The Hypotheek Mining and Milling Co reports a 140 foot wide mineralized vein drift heading toward the shaft with ore potential. An expert review notes a 700 foot five month tunnel program revealing a 140 foot wide quartzite zone with ore-bearing fissures. Silverado Mining Eyes Deep Sinking At Osburn Vein

Silverado Mining Company plans to sink 100 to 200 feet on a promising vein near Osburn after a long halt. C D Maxen of Spokane notes the vein is about 26 feet wide with silver and lead showing, confirming development potential. The firm operates a 75 ton mill and electric-powered equipment on 21 claims.

Iron King Mine Near Wallace Sees Promising Ore Vein

A. P. Reinhardt, manager of Iron King Mining, resumes development two miles west of Wallace. A crosscut tunnel reaches a 400 foot depth with a vein 12 to 15 feet wide. Eastern drift shows quartz and galena stringers and a surface showing from which samples yield 52 percent lead with high silver. Extension of the drift under the outcrop aims to locate a body of ore.

Richmond Mining Firm Plans Deep Crosscut in Montana Idaho Vein

At a Spokane stockholders meeting last week, crosscutting from the Montana Idaho tunnel was approved pending power. The 1800 foot depth showing in the Monitor vein signals probable success on the Richmond vein at similar depth. Officers elected were Samuel J. Wilson president R J Wortman secretary treasurer and B N Sharp managing director all of Spokane.

Morning mine to resume normal production after fire recovery

Federal Mining and Smelting says the Morning mine will return to normal production not later than the 16th. The fire began January 2 and was extinguished February 1 after deep-mine challenges. A 650-man force, including 350 underground workers, is rebuilding, with 75 to 100 missing miners expected to return by the 16th.

Cedar Creek Ore Show Promise but Mill Delayed

Cedar Creek nears productive stage with ore visible in No 3 and No 2 tunnels. Management will prove ore to at least 200 feet below No 4 before building a mill, preparing to sink and extend through a 450 foot long body of lead and zinc ore. An additional assessment is levied as stockholders urged to remit promptly. Fifty years ago the Reading railroad president earned a $40,000 salary.

Callahan Mine Expands South Side Development Plan

Wallace reports new development steps at the Callahan mine to extend the No. 4 crosscut 2500 feet toward the southern Callahan boundary, with mineral vein prospects between Callahan No. 4 and Idaho & Los Angeles lines. W. Newton says crosscut begun after prior drift and two K and K flotation machines added to enhance lead recovery as ore shipments run at normal capacity. Development at the Galena mine, owned by Callahan, continues with No. 6 tunnel eastward to reach a potential ore shoot at the vein junction with gray copper, separate from the existing lead-silver shoot.
