In Shoshone county last Tuesday a sharp factional battle over the county convention and central committee boosted Republican turnout. The Weniger faction won probate judge, while overall Republicans outpolled Democrats by about two to one. County commissioners formally approve Lookout pass road construction from Willow Creek to the summit, five miles, with cost shared by Shoshone County ten thousand dollars, the state of Idaho ten thousand, and the forest service ten thousand.
