Rev Routzahn and family were away due to the death of their little daughter. Rev Elliott conducted services in both Methodist and Baptist churches last Sunday.

Destructive Fire Destroys Battle Lake Business District

A devastating blaze swept Battle Lake Minnesota last Thursday night. The town lacking adequate fire apparatus saw every man and boy form bucket brigades but could not control the flames as a high wind and snowstorm hampered efforts, wiping out the entire business portion of the town.
