Milnor hosts Sargent County Teachers Institute program
Prof R M Black directed the Milnor October Teachers Institute with Prof Randlett of the Agricultural College and Miss Eula Miller from Fargo City Schools. About eighty nine teachers enrolled from ninety schools and departments. Black spoke on The Five Essentials of Good Teacher as the closing address. Senator McCumber and Rotary Farrar arrived in Wahpeton from Fargo in their auto. Farrard said they were headed to Washington.

Outside teachers better qualified than local supply judged
County Superintendent Barnes reports fifty applicants took the state teachers examination at Hankinson and Wahpeton. Only twelve of fifty were high school graduates, and most outsiders showed stronger qualifications. He notes abundant outside teachers could be hired in August or September, but current supply remains tight.

Obituary: Mrs M J Ward Dies at 67 In Wahpeton
Mrs M J Ward died Friday night at her daughter Mrs Geo A Walker in Wahpeton aged 67. Funeral services were held at Wahpeton Congregational church Sunday and in Aberdeen South Dakota Monday. She came to Wahpeton six years ago with her husband who died recently. She leaves eight children, all but one son at the funeral.
