Four big steam dredges to drain Richland County
Editor Knotts of the Times won the bidding last Friday at Wyndmere for the Sandy Lake drain project. He plans to have the dredges on site in about three weeks and start work when weather allows. The plan covers multiple drains with floating steam dredges moving 1000 to 1500 cubic yards daily, plus 27 steel bridges, costing around $9,000, backed by Miller Dredging Co.
