The Agriculture spwanton held its regular meeting at Wahs ton on February 14 1885. President 8 Taylor called meeting at 2 pm. Minutes read and approved. Committee reports discussed plans and costs for an agricultural fair and possible guidance from external parties. Standing and twine committees appointed. Wages set at 20 dollars per month for farm labor. Next meeting scheduled for February 28 1885.

Farewell Supper and Dance for Wahpeton Hosts Smiths
Mr and Mrs D H Smith of Wahpeton hosted a farewell supper and ball at their Wahpeton hotel Tuesday evening attended by about 100 local residents. The event featured a large dance in connected rooms with Sinman s orchestra, running from six to nine and into the early morning. The Smith family are noted benefactors in church and public affairs, and plan to return to St Paul Inn in two days where Mrs S will visit old friends. The city will miss their hospitality and leadership.
