Surprise Party Honors Gilles Household With Remembrance
About one hundred friends gathered at the Gilles home Sunday night for a surprise party. City attorney Gus Schuler gave a speech that drew hearty applause. Mrs. Geo Miller won a pictorial prize, Mrs. Muenzer a bell, Nick Eckesgent a shaving set, L Gorder an ash receiver. Refreshments followed and the couple received a complete silverware set as a keepsake. The thank the friends for the thoughtful remembrance.
Turner Dance At Turner Hall Draws Pleasure Seekers
The Turners hosted a Monday night nal mask ball at Turner Hall with Myer's Orchestra providing music. A large crowd enjoyed dancing late, with prizes awarded to Mrs. Schanhaar of Breckenridge for a head prize and Alles Woves for the ladies comic prize, Downie Keating winning the gente Bret prize and Frank Connolly second prize.
