At a city council meeting Tuesday evening J J Hull introduced an ordinance for redistricting. He claims the plan, pushed by senator Bobby Hughes and allies, favors Republicans by creating three Republican and one Democratic ward, ignoring population balance and growth potential. The public favored a division with two Republican and two Democratic wards, equal populations, and room to grow, avoiding another redistricting for years.
