A social season banquet was held Friday evening January 20 at the Masonic Hall hosted by the Woman's Literary Clubs. Husbands and guests attended as the program featured four cross shaped tables with white carnations emilax candelabra and violet and green menus. Misses McKean Dexter Redman Barnes Albrecht Jamison Cameron and Davidson assisted the young ladies. Mrs Patterson presided as toast mistress and Mr Leach spoke for the gentlemen thanking the ladies for a pleasant evening. The gathering declared it the best slab banquet and hoped for many more.

Funeral services were held at the M E Church with Odd Fellows rites, and interment at Wild Rice Cemetery.
A brief ad claims One Minute Cough Cure relieves coughing in one minute by killing the microbe that irritates the mucous membrane, clears phlegm, reduces inflammation, and soothes affected parts. It touts lung strength, pneumonia prevention, and suitability for all ages, sold by Henry Miller.
Notice to bond purchasers for sale of 81800 in refunding bonds to be offered in Wahpeton North Dakota. Bonds bear 5 percent interest with principal payable at specified date. Bids received until 2:00 p.m. February 18. Details include apportionment between Lee and others.
In Clingford Essex an estate held under a singular rule requires the new owner and company to ride to the parsonage on horseback and salute the rector by three horn blasts. The owner bears a hawk with a greyhound servant, offers a chicken for the hawk, a peck of oats for the horse, and a loaf for the greyhound. After dinner three more blasts signal the party departs.
