Wahpeton Public Library reports a Washington request for new novels and western stories to aid soldiers abroad. Zane Grey Rex Beach Jack London and other authors are popular as shipments of 000,000 books already have gone overseas. Dispatched in strong cases aboard transports and naval vessels, the books are later distributed by librarians to Y M C A huts hospitals canteens chaplains and officers in France.
