Story telling owls amuse campers in Adirondacks
A Scranton observer recalls a night of laughter as a flock of story telling owls alighted above their wilderness camp in Herkimer county. The owls traded anecdotes about wheelhouse antics with a rattling chorus of hoots while loons on the lake joined the merriment. An alto voiced owl sparked the peak of their humor by tapping window panes and sparking a chaotic domestic scene.
