A Thanksgiving Goose From Frank Cox
A pair of shabby bipata arrived from S and Springs in Churchill County, bearing cards that they were geos from Frank Cox hunting at Sand Springs. One bird was claimed and plucked down to four cart-loads of feathers before a small boy played purgatory with the remnants. The owner decided to bury the hind with honors, while the rest lay as interest in a shed. Cox notes the birds were very difficult to catch.
