End of the Rives White feud in a small county town

A long account follows the evolution of the Rives versus White feud from a 19th century dispute over a mule and corn to a deadly confrontation in a village street. After generations of bitterness and a string of ambushes, two elderly farmers meet with knives and a brief deadly struggle ends with both dead. The town mourns, witnesses die, and the feud is finally concluded with no remaining participants.
