The Eagle Mines of Burghill County Progress Report
The Caldwell Mines, located in Church County near Nye, were discovered by A. Woodruff and run by the Eagle Mining Co. They consist of three leads with the center one rich in silver and ore and the outer leads yielding mostly high grade gold. The company, with four partners including Woodruff and Kenvon, reports successful tunneling and milling, shipping ore worth over two thousand dollars and awaiting shipment of richer gold ore as they expand operations.
