Commencement Day Highlights at State Normal School
The State Normal School staged a charming commencement with eighteen graduates in cap and gown. President Stubbs delivered an address on concentration while Judge A E Cheney gave the class address and diplomas were presented. The Patterson and Ward scholarships of 100 dollars each were awarded to top students.

University year ends with scholarships and celebrations
The Patterson scholarship went to Daniel Finlayson of ’98 while three near equal candidates Miss Reigelbuth Miss Bonham of ’07 and Miss Linavett of ’0 shared parts of the Ward scholarship and a $50 third prize from President Stubba and Prof Lowers. Sophomores carried their Dun and seniors held a farewell party in the gym. The year closed as the university reported an average term attendance of 825.
