Nevada Assembly considers a joint committee on water use and constitutional amendments. Reports approved include paying old war claims, school trustees elections, and repeal actions. A Senate joint committee on water bills appointed. Several resolutions tabled or postponed as session adjourns.
The assembly discussed measures including preventing livestock roaming on real estate and damages, returning proposed constitutional amendments to the Senate, and paying Civil War era Nevada claims. It also urged Nicaragua canal construction, required certification of a constitutional amendment, licensed cigarette sales at 150 per quarter, reduced grand jurors to twelve, and prohibited county commissioners from acting as county officer bond sureties. some measures failed.
