Negro Youth Caught After Forgery Attempts in Waco
Police chased 19 year old Johnny Lee Wright from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, catching him in a Kate Ross apartment. He forged checks on W.S. Foster and Sheriff C Maxey using fake addresses and numbers. Wright, married, lives at 1333 Kane Homes and faces burglary and forgery charges after also stealing a shirt from 1109 Ross. Deputy and city officers plus Ralph Dugger aided in the capture. Detective Pokey Farley continues to pursue cases with similar signatures and handwriting. Wright had also accumulated $77 in traffic fines in city court.

Blood Center Receives 16 Pints Blood in Mike Wyatt's Name
