City Profits From Issuing Permits This Month
Henry Heit issued large building permits boosting city funds by thousands. Granada permit yielded $1,554. December total reached $4,143,618. Projects included Baylor Science Building $1,545,405 and Paul Quinn College science and mathematics building $111,000. Texas Motor Boats Must Register Under New Safety Act
More than 200 000 motor boats must be registered by April 1 under the Texas Water Safety Act. The Motor Vehicle Division of the Texas Highway Department will issue certificates of number for boats in Texas waters, similar to vehicle licenses and titles. Renewal notices for boats currently registered go out starting January 3.
