The Waco Independent School District approved a 43 thousand 501 dollar Title II grant to buy textbooks reference works and audio visual materials for all district students. Reicher St Albans St Francis and Trinity Lutheran show interest in per student allocations near two dollars. The board split on church state concerns with Dr Clifford Knape voting yes and three others voting no. Gordon Rountree cast the deciding vote to approve. A comptroller position will be created with a 900 dollar a month salary funded by Title I. Election set for April 2. Gordon Routhree seeks re election while Vic Anderson will not run.
