Louisa Races to Open at Louisa Court House

Louisa Races will begin at Louisa Court House on Thursday October first. First day features mile heats for three year olds with entries and one hundred bushels of merchantable wheat for the winner. Second day offers two mile heats with cash prizes, while third day combines entries from prior days for best three in five with gate money added. Proprietor John M. Price notes the purse is growing and may reach a substantial sum by race day.
