Dean Denounces Dutch Vote At Missouri Democratic Meet

Proclamation on Iowa Prohibition Amendment 1882
Iowa Governor Sherman proclaims the 1882 prohibition amendment adopted by the eighteenth and nineteenth General Assemblies. The amendment bars manufacturing for sale or sale of intoxicating liquors and authorizes enforcement laws with penalties. Official canvass shows 155,436 for and 125,677 against, majority 29,759.
