The Emmet county Iowa board met on September 14 1908 with all members present except Mitchell and heard drainage district petitions by Peter B Peterson et al The board found drainage district No 26 not expedient and approved final action on Ditch No 30 with a warrant to August Lee for 431 dollars The session adjourned to September 17 1908 and resumed with discussion of drainage district No 28 finances an additional fifteen percent assessment was levied to cover unpaid costs and fund balance An established road for Ella N Harmon and a Des Moines River bridge project were postponed to the April meeting Also listed are numerous household and medical expenses for residents and vendors
