4-H Club Meets in Center Township With Hike and Talks
The Wide Awake 4-H club met at Miss Elna Woods home in Center township on Saturday September 8. Talks included Thirty Obnoxious Weeds Etiquette on the Street and Bouquets from Weeds. After adjournment the girls hiked to Swan Lake for plant specimens and several families attended a nearby family picnic at Turtle Lake on Sunday.

The Emmet County Board of Supervisors on September 2 and 6 1938 moved to serve notices against Cora Habinski and Florence Parsel to deter settlement in Emmet County Iowa and authorized signatures on behalf of the Board. The board also levied 14 of the original DD 87 assessment for drainage district cleanup and recommended Miss Lucille Wylder as Certifying Officer for WPA programs.
