Editorial reflections on whiskey milk cure and national wealth
An editorial fragment blends folklore on whiskey and milk as a sleeping sickness remedy with poetical musings on spring happiness. It cites Iowa’s record grain and corn yields and argues concerted business growth from good harvests. It then discusses wealth distribution, noting substantial home ownership, securities, savings, life insurance and building loan assets as a comparison to other nations.
