Reo Six Sets Double Record Across Desert Route

Charles H. Bigelow and Dave Fassett piloted a Reo Six sport phaeton on record runs from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City and Salt Lake City to San Francisco. Weather and road conditions were severe, yet the team lowered existing marks, with 25 hours 41 minutes LA to Salt Lake City over 853 miles and 28 hours 36 minutes Salt Lake City to San Francisco over 865 miles.

Emmet County Fair Debate Revives County Fair Plan

The Emmet County Fair proposition was revived in Estherville Township and Twelve Mile Lake Township debates. Twelve Mile Lake backers urged a larger district fair through Emmet County. Estherville backers argued for a stand alone fair with educational value and farmer benefits. Judges ruled two to one in favor of the affirmative. Public interest grows in Calf Pig Culinary and Textile clubs via Farm Bureau.
