Boy Killed by Car on Main Street Spirit Lake
A ten year old boy named Mathews was killed Saturday afternoon in Spirit Lake after darting into traffic on Main Street in front of a photo studio. The driver, a 15 year old son of Gus Bibow, was returning from the high school football field and, proceeding slowly, failed to stop in time. Witnesses at the scene described the crash as fatal with the boy crushed and limbs injured. Mr. Bibow lives six miles northwest of Spirit Lake.
