Milk Prices Climb in Des Moines to 14 and 15 Cents
Milk prices rise starting October 1 from 13 to 14 and 15 cents per quart in Des Moines due to high feed costs. The new contract between producer and dealer is 3.65 dollars per 100 pounds, up 65 cents. H. G. Lingenfelter of the Town Milk Marketing Association says the federal food commission approves the increase amid rising feed prices cited by County Agent Carl Kennedy.
