An Iowa State College extension service experiment led by F C Churchill shows Hubam clover yields best on non acidic soil and with lime and manure. Slightly acidic soil reduced results while heavily acidic soil hindered growth. Gypsum aided Hubam on neutral soil and oats aided subsequent crops, with actual yields recorded on 10 plots.
