Air mail planes to link New York Des Moines route
Des Moines will host a new air mail route starting mid December from New York via Washington Cleveland Chicago to Omaha as western end. Landings at Herringfield north of the city will feed mail to the post office within about 25 minutes. A 12 hour New York to Des Moines flight is hoped, with day light scheduling and extension to San Francisco after testing.
