Federal plan outlined for corn hog contract terms
The article details a government program offering farmers payments to reduce hog production and corn acreage. It lists contract specifics for producers and the secretary’s payments, including a $5 per hog adjustment and 30 cent per bushel corn rental, with penalties for noncompliance.
Hog production and payment terms under 1932 33 contract
The contract provides payments of 2.00 per head on issue, 1.00 per head around November 6 1934 and 2.00 per head around February 1 1935 for hogs produced and marketed. Deductions apply if 1994 hogs exceed 76 percent of the 1932 33 average. Misstatement or noncompliance permits contract termination and refunds with liens on future hogs. Pro rata deduction covers Corn Hog Control Association expenses relative to total rental and adjustment payments.
