Lincoln and Samson's Prairie Journey of Duty and Hope
In this vivid 19th century vignette, Abe Lincoln and Samson navigate hard times in Sangamon County Illinois. Lincoln plans law practice in Springfield while Samson helps his family move, faces telegrams of a friend's death that prove misdated, and contends with trust, poverty, and a dangerous land. Cartwright the preacher arrives amid plague, aiding Bim Kelso and a struggling Honey Creek settlement as secrets and loyalties unfold and a marriage vow looms amid peril.
