The Pearl Scarfpin Romance on a Streetcar and Steamship
Jack Herkimer, beloved for his kindness, helps a young woman on a streetcar by paying her fare with a nickel. A string of anonymous gifts follows a pearl scarfpin, leading to a mystery of identity. On a European voyage he meets Miss Farnsworth, who recognises him by the pin, and they wed after a brief courtship and a staged elopement.
