Iowa Roads Forecast of mixed condition across state
Iowa road conditions on Monday April 29 showed severe differences between the southern and northern halves due to spring break up and recent weather. The report notes long detours, grading and paving projects, earth detours, and ongoing bridge work on numerous routes including Iowa No. 2, No. 3, No. 4, No. 5, No. 7, U.S. 20, U.S. 34, and local county roads across Adair, Warren, Washington, Appanoose, Lee, Union, Cass, Mills, Plymouth, Pottawattamie, Allamakee, Clayton, Winneshiek, Bremer, Hardin, and other counties with detours and poor to fair conditions depending on location. A drying spell of several days is hoped to restore much of the gravel and dirt roads to fair-to-good condition.
