Jack Taylor Arrested in Shadle Willams Store Robberies

Jack Taylor a nineteen year old lad was arrested Monday by Marshall Haynes for involvement in breaking and entering and robbing the stores of F. M. Shadle & Son and G. A. Williams about two weeks ago. He pleaded guilty saying another young man led him to the crime, but that man is currently out of town. Taylor lives in Mason City where his mother resides. his father is dead. He has been working on the new hotel building and is described as in a bad way.

Mason City won 11 to 2 as Estherville committed numerous errors and hosts capitalized on misplays. Jarnigan muff produced one run, Barbers two bagger drove in another, and Cop pers followed with a single and a sacrifice for the inning.

In a high scoring game Mason City outpaced Estherville by 11 to 1 after six early errors and late contest. Judicial Convention to Nominate Bailie Replacement

The Fourteenth Judicial Convention will meet in Estherville on Tuesday, July 16 to nominate a judge to succeed A. D. Bailie of Storm Lake.
