Harding for Governor Primary Victory Signals Big Lead
Harding's early primary results show a decisive nomination majority, with supporters declaring a strong win for governor. The returns suggest a clear path to securing the party nomination and momentum into the general election.
Adams and Stuart Lead Statewide Primary Outcomes
An unusually high primary turnout followed a heated contest for governor and multiple county offices. Henry Adams of Algona led for senator with a strong showing, while Wm Stuart of Armstrong carried the representative race by a narrow margin. Klopp won auditor, Bemis clerk of courts, and Hanan treasurer with solid margins. Nivison sheriff and Herzberg recorder faced no opposition. County results indicate a Republican banner with overall statewide carry for Harding, though the totals show a double-check needed for Iowa.
