Death of W W VanEman in Estherville Iowa Area
W W VanEman died at his home north of town Sunday morning after a brief illness at eighty seven years, seven months and eighteen days. Born October 15, 1824 in Miller's Run, Pennsylvania, he taught school, joined Burgettatown Presbyterian Church in 1841, and served as an elder for over twenty years. He married Ellazanna Newell on October 19, 1864. they lived in Illinois and Iowa before settling near Estherville, where his wife died in 1896. Surviving children include Geo N VanEman of Petersburg, Dilivols, Etta M Aikman of Topeka, W A Lesher, Samuel M, and David L of the area. Funeral services were held at the family home, with burial in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania.
